Annual herb. Root rod, strong branched at the root neck and underdeveloped at the depth. The stems are 15-150 cm high, straight, branched, naked, nodule, ribbed, sometimes covered with small nipples at the top, reddish green.

Buckwheat is one of the most important honey-bearing plants. Honey bees are its main pollinators and collect from it under favorable environmental conditions (warm and humid weather, proper agricultural techniques, timely busing of bees, etc.) up to 70-100 kg of honey with 1 hectare of crops.

Buckwheat honey is usually dark yellow or dark brown in color, has a delicate taste and an unusually pleasant aroma, which is easy to distinguish from other varieties. The water content is higher than in other varieties. When it is sugared, it forms a mushy mass and does not harden.
